Wedding Season! Part I

Did somebody say wedding season...?! Yes they did!
So... het trouwseizoen in Su is nu echt aangebroken... Het is te merken aan alle vendors die ik nu aan de telefoon krijg. Iedereen wil nu al een voorschot "mevrouw u weet het is super druk in december, en we willen geen risico nemen". Gelukkig ben ik deze drukte al gewend. SU is small and the vendor listing is niet de grootste. But... We work with what we got, and I must say for a small country like ours we have a lot of pro's available.... #happy
So because of the season we are in, I will be doing a 4 part series. We will highlight a lot of important things like, non-traditional wedding dresses,  groom styles, Do's & Dont's for bridal styling, social media weddings.... AND much more... so don't forget to click on that follow button.

 Today our focus will be on the MEN! Yes you read it correctly...
De heren moeten toch ook een keer aan de beurt komen. So let's get started then...!

Groom Fashion

They say on the wedding day all eyes will be on the bride... Ik geloof dat niet, I think all eyes will be on the couple, that means the grooms must  equally look as good as the bride. And there is nothing as good as a man looking sharp on his wedding day.
In Su zijn we wat men's bridal fashion nog wat  blijven steken, we are so used to men wearing, black, dark blue & grey suits on their big day,alsof er naast die drie colors er geen andere zijn om te dragen. As for the styles, zien we ook echt meer de 3 piece suits and the classic tux... but let's broaden our fashion horizon's today and check what's also out there.
Een van de beste manieren om dat te doen is een aantal spannende kleuren en patronen te gooien in de mix . Being dressed in these eye catching suits zullen de bruidegom en bruidsjonkers zeker opvallen, I say a extra pop of color en wat extra pit without outshining the bride, never killed anyone.
Leuke flower prints, bold colors, frisse accessories en non traditionele stijlen, zullen zeker een extra demensie geven aan de overall style en look van de groom en zijn groomsmen... en niet te vergeten de overall look and style of the whole wedding :)

The RIGHT suit

We kunen praten over "how to spice up the men's ensemble in the bridal party" maar het meest belangerijke van dit alles is de FIT van de kleding die ze zullen aandoen! We can't stress it enough that every thing you wear on the big day should have a perfect fit.
Het is super onaangenaam om te kijken naar een bruidegom wiens suit totaal niet correct zit. So if you are going for a suit... maakt niet uit welke stijl, watch this tutorial and see how a suit should really fit

Ties, Bow ties & Suspenders

 A great way to incorporate some trendy fashion into the groom and or groomsmen ensemble is wearing a tie, bow tie and or suspenders.........And the one who will say suspenders are for kids has outdated information!
Bold colors & patterns from ties, bow ties or suspenders can spice up a suit without overpowering the the rest off the bridal party.
Je kan combinaties doen van matching bow tie & suspenders, or bow tie & shirt with a different color suspender... switch it up, check wat het leuks zit...
Ga je voor een traditionele das, probeer dan te gaan voor een frisse kleur of iets met een patroon or even something shiny






Footwear

......Let's not kid anyone... MEN LOVE SHOES, just as we women love ours LOL. So another way to spice up your grooms ensemble or that of the groomsmen is saying goodbye to the traditional black shoe ...
It can be great to go online to check out groom pictures and styles, but wouldn't it be better if you could just be you, yes just yourself on your wedding day. By "being yourself" I mean your own style... and if you love nice shoes...wear them. Nobody said that your shoes should be black because your suit is black... NAH be you.. you love wearing sneakers.. go for a pair that go well with your attire.. You are more of a timba dude... go for it...as long as they go well with your attire and the rest of the groomsmen style. For those who just want to go with the classic shoes... you can do that, but there are so many other color choices to go for except black, so if you you want to add that extra pop go for a non black shoe. Also you can try to match your shoe with that of your bride... or your bride can try to match yours :)

Socks

I could have written about socks at the footwear section but because they can be so fun I gave them their own section LOL.
So wearing black, brown, grey and white socks underneath your suit or pants is always nice... but what if I told you you could go all out with your socks!!! Bold colors, patterns, mix and match!!
The socks can match the ties or bow ties, ze kunnen een bepaalde kleur uit de color scheme zijn, they can match the bridesmaid dresses..... OR don't even have to  match at all :) Now I know their are some guys smiling  and thinking I knew my socks didn't have to match :)
So go for it...  printed socks, polka-dot socks, or just some intricate patterns... they are all welcome!





Overall Accessories

That what you will be wearing, your shoes, socks, bow tie or just your tie will be the things that will be the first things that people will notice. But you can make another statement with other cool trendy accessories, je horloge, sieraden, een vilt, sjaals, manchet knopen etc... Gewoon je eigen stijl adden to the mix om het geheel more you te maken. Want to go for a cool and smooth look zonder de bruid te outshinen, and it's a sunny day...Wear some cool shades.
We moeten nooit vergeten dat het huwelijk om 2 personen gaat. Dat betekent 2 identiteiten. Try to make the best of those 2 identities, mix and match and laat er in de stijl van jullie huwelijk thema en kleuren een goede balans zijn.
De heren zijn net zo belangerijk als de dames in de bridal party so let them try to make a style there own just like we would let a bridesmaid choose the perfect silhouette for her dress.

Mix & Match

Last but not least..M&M... Alles moet hetzelfde zijn en in de zelfde kleur zijn is eigenlijk al bijna achterhaald, en niet alleen bij de bridesmaids. Ook bij de groomsmen kunnen we voor de M&M look gaan. Belangerijk is dus wel dat we erop letten dat de kleuren waarmee er gemixt worden wel samen gaan, en most important dat ze bij de rest van de colors scheme of the wedding passen. If you got those two things covered.. you are good to go
