The LOVE month

YES! LOVE, was most definitely in the air! October was our love month..why one would ask.. well.. it's simply because we had 4 amazing couples who decided to get married in October.
December is meestal de drukste maand van het jaar, maar dit jaar werd, zeker bij ons, October de uitverkoren maand. Call me biased because I was the planner, but these couples looked extra extra extra in love, making the planning, coordinating, styling & decorating much more fun!
4 different couples, dus 4 totaal verschillende thema's, kleuren, lokaties and personalized details.
oooh details..one element that was surely one of the most important factors of all these wedding..
From the metallic gold charger plates, to the wooden stand for the wedding cake....oooh...but let's not get ahead of our self and start in the right order of our beautiful couples!

Ons eerste koppel van Oktober is deel van onze SEP familie. Clian is hoofd van ons sep set-up team, en Eugela heeft al op een paar events in ons hospitality team gewerkt...so extra pressure to make this day great. We have to be honest, ze hadden bijna alles al uitgewerkt en ze wisten precies wat ze wilden.
Vanaf het eerste gesprek was het "we willen een intimate wedding, with a rustic theme, cozy but lot's of fun.. oh en outdoor..
We zijn dus op zoek gegaan naar een plek die van zichzelf al charme had,  mooie houten elementen en het moest ook outdoor zijn...
Duurde niet lang om zo een plek te vinden. Above & Beyond met als owner Max Resomardono aka LoLo Koekroe, heeft een mini paradijs/venue that can take your breath away. Simple, private area,  great space that can work as it is or you can dress it up if you want to. En..omdat de plek zo versatile is was het makkelijk om ook de ceremonie zowel de receptie daar te houden. De kleuren rood, zandbruin & ivory zijn de kleuren die het koppel had gekozen als hun wedding colors. Deze kleuren kwamen prachtig tot uiting bij de kleding van de bridal party. The Food en service was TOP, en in combinatie met de jazz band "STAGE CUSTOM" olv Edson Faerber, was de ambiance voortreffelijk. Een prachtige dag met mooie tradities zoals "jumping the broom", en de verassing die niet ontbrak was de ode die de groom bracht aan zijn bruid met het lied "When A man Loves a Woman". De avond werd olv van de band heerlijk afgesloten toen al de gasten het koppel uitzwaaide op de tonen van "We Are Family" van Sister Sledge.

Ons 2e koppel was really a fusion of cultures. Jimmy van Indiaanse afkomst en Wania van Haitiaanse afkomst hebben op 8 Oktober officieel JA tegen elkaar gezegd. The weather was a bit of a challenge that day.. but it did not spoil the fun. Jimmy & Wania zijn echt een koppel die ons altijd aan het lachen kon krijgen... altijd positief ingesteld and you could always see the love between them.These guys are one of the most spontaneous couples we have ever met.. Op de receptie was dat ook dan ook te merken toen de leuke opdrachten uitgevoerd moesten worden. Het was heel gauw te merken toen we met de planning startte dat ze al hun eigen ideas hadden over het verloop van bepaalde zaken. We were eager to hear what this fun couple had planned and boy did they surprise us.. from a choreography for the wedding ceremony processional, to the grand entrance at the reception.. AND just when you thought that you were blown away.. they also choreographed their first dance. A mix van muziek uit hun cultuur, naar songs they really love, this was one EPIC first dance!!  The bride wore a white mermaid wedding dress with a mermaid silouette from Dress Me Atelier & Boutiek  and the handsome groom wore a suit by Ewalds Fashion. De kleuren waarvoor ze kozen waren navy & orange, a very beautiful combination die perfect tot uiting kwamt bij de bridal party. The bridesmaids wore flowy one shoulder dresses made by Naomi Melcherts and the groomsmen looked dashing in clothes from Ewalds Fashion. 

Our 3rd couple gave me a feeling that our hostess would say to the guest "welcome to the royal ball of  Mr & Mrs Rensch...
Het huwelijk van Rudger & Fariel was also a family wedding.. maar echt de Surinaamse versie..
This God centered couple knew what they wanted and with help of the Maid of Honor AKA the groom's sister AKA my right hand for this wedding..we can say we achieved it.
I know what you are all thinking... THAT DRESS!!! YES that dress was EVERYTHING! She really looked like a queen! en met haar en make-up van Asvin Sadhoe you know it was just perfection! Rudger zag er knap uit in zijn pak van Ewalds Fashion, en samen vormden ze echt een plaatje.

Het thema was "Champagne & Roses" en the colors that were used were ivory, blush, champagne & brown.  De gasten gingen echt op een mini reis voordat ze in de receptie zaal van Utopia Heritage. aankwamen.. Bij aankomst mochten ze tekenen bij de hostess en werden ze verder begeleid naar de pier.. Op de pier mochten ze in de very fun photobooth van Guillio Grant Photography gaan voor hun wedding favor. Hierna mochten ze terug en konden ze onder het genot van een leuke welkomsdrank de receptie zaal in. Het decor is gedaan door Hans Bhawan, met detail decor van Splendor Events & Planning en Divine Design die de hoofd en taarttafel aankleding deed. Het geheel was zeer oogstrelend. Dit samen met food from Lolo Koekroe, cocktails by Mr. Mixologist en music van MIC heeft de avond tot een prachtig geheel gemaakt.

Last but certainly not least, hebben we ons laatste October couple waarvoor we de styling & decor mochten doen. Im not going to lie, I was in LOVE with the combo, different and daring! Paars, Royal blue, mint & goud.
De ceremonie & receptie zijn beide op 1 plek gehouden, namelijk Prakwaki's Botanical Garden.
This time we didn't work with white as our basic color, but we incorporated all the colors in the table linnens and centerpieces.
De sta tafels waren in het mint groen, en the guest tables were in the purple.
Wat belichting betreft.. the garden looked liked a real life fairy tale.. everywhere you looked there were lights...Als het nou de grote kaarsen waren, of de kleine drijfkaarsen in de centerpieces of in de bomen.. De grote paper latarns die gehangen waren maakten het geheel af. De sweetheart tafel is gedaan door Divine Design en was echt DIVINE!!! De hangende orchideen in combinatie met rozen ware perfect en pasten perfect bij de setting. De overall lighting die door Roeli's Lighting & Decor is gedaan was bracht echt de romantische sfeer in de tuin.

October you were great! We wensen al onze koppels veel geluk en natuurlijk lots and lots of LOVE toe! It was an honor planning, coordinating & decorating this special day for you.
