2015 Wedding Trends #stillfeelingfestive
Hey all,
I'm back.... still high on my festive mood.. so I thought why not continue with the 2015 trends blog....
Seeing all these 2015 trends got my eyes glowing... I can say 2015 will be a year of " we are back!" trends, veel van past years trends are still IN, en oudere trends komen langzamer hand weer terug just like fashion, but in the wedding business more fabulous of coarse.....
Paper Decor
Vroeger als men het had over paper decor I was like...uhm geen crepe papier toch....of die papieren wedding bells die je kan kopen bij de chiney... En nee dat was het gelukkig niet. Wat het wel was waren leuke origami figures, pom poms, uitgesneden hartjes, paper lantarns and lots and lots more...
Je kan paper decor op verschillende manieren gebruiken op je wedding.. centerpieces, hanging decor and or backdrop. You can work with different shapes and sizes, different shades to create an ombre effect..en nog vele leuke dingen..
In SU is paper decor nog niet zo bekend maar is wel super FAB! FUN, AFFORDABLE and BUDGET friendly!
The A-and B-word... don't come up very often in the same sentence when planning a weddings.. so let's do a happy dance for paper decor!
Vintage
I don't even have to explain this... sigh... the use of lace, pearls, paper doilies, wooden ornaments, wooden picture frames, feathers....I almost can't stop... says it all. Heel subtiel begint deze trend nu meer grond te krijg in SU, denk maar aan de lace cakes, het gebruiken van parels bij de centerpieces, large wooden picture frames voor foto booths op de receptie...
In februari hebben wij onze eerste vintage themed wedding... we can't wait..
Vintage vind ik heel persoonlijk thema omdat je vaak DIY projekten kan koppelen eraan... dat betekent veel inzet van het koppel zelf wat resulteert in een very personalized wedding decor.
Er is zoveel dat je online kan vinden om dan weer om te zetten naar je eigen thema, of delen te incorporeren voor je eigen receptie.
Een vintage thema is een heel makkelijk thema omdat je bijna alles om je heen kan inzetten bij het decor PLUS je kan het indoor en outdoor doen... fancy that..
High on cake
It's a bird... it's a plane... it's a cake??!!!! Yes it is!!!!! Net als de hangende centerpieces zijn hangende wedding cakes DE trend van 2015!!
Hanging wedding cakes emphasize the classiness of a reception.
It is really the focus of the reception, and it will be a jaw dropping element for your guests.
In Su is dit nog heel unique, so if you want a show stopping element on your reception.. a hanging wedding cake is the way to go.
Let wel op alle factoren die gaan gelden zoals, stevig hang materiaal, stevig blad waarop de taart moet rusten en natuurlijk de plek waar de taart gaat hangen. If all these bases are cover... I say let the cake hang :)
Lace
Everything lace is back in business... from gowns, invitations, headbands, cakes, earrings and decor, lace is the 2015 fabric to beat. It's classic and it will never go out of fashion (I think...)
Adding lace elements to your decor, dress or anything related to the theme of your wedding will add something classic and classy at the same time.
Don't think hmm kant... oef oma haar gordijnen... no think lace old hollywood and glamour... want ik had hetzelfde probleem vroeger als ik aan kan dacht.. oud, ouderwets and just a BIG no... well 2015 and it's a BIG yes!
Metallic Wedding Cakes
Talk about a shiny wedding cake... Metallic wedding cakes zijn er nu wel al een poosje op de wedding markt, maar nu zien we echt dat ze de strijd aangaan tegen de lace cakes and naked cakes, which is also an upcoming trend.
Ze zijn heel erg apart, als ze al in SU gemaakt kunnen worden zullen we nog effe moeten onderzoeken, maar apart zijn ze wel.
